I just did mine today... used a heat gun to heat up the badges
took them off w/ dental floss... soaked some goo gone on them and peeled off the residue... then just polished them out w/ some car polish. Took about 45 min

if you read the tech article it says you can use a hair dryer... I really didn't heat mine up all
that much so i'm sure its fine. most of the tape stays on the car anyway, and you just soak it w/ goo gone for a minute or two... then wipe it off.
