Default You don't have to hardwire a V1 if thats what your asking...
I wouldn't even buy a radar detector if your dead set on getting a cheap one.

No detector is 100%, so be exceedingly careful. Since the Feds are cutting funding and state revenues are down, police are getting shall we say less concerned about legalities or evidence. Its better to stay under the radar.

Default ESCORT PASSPORT 8500 x50 has everything the V1 does even the indicator...
There is a mode for it that shows the directional arrow just like the V1 its just not a default feature from what I have heard. The detector also rates the best on<ul><li><a href="http://radarbusters.com">and is available at BestBuy</a></li></ul>
