Default Whats the turbo lag like with APR stage 3?

Does the Inconel manifold eliminate most of the lag caused by the bigger turbo ? I am just curious what the driveability is like with this setup. I have an S4 and am seriously considering the 3+ conversion when it is available.

Default the manifold eliminates it.

power delivery is seamless. driveability is perfect. the car feels like it came from the factory with this setup.
there is no stage 3+ for the S4, but stage 3 is in development.

Default there is no sensation fo the engine being turbocharged.....

it is just a constant stream of power(no 2300 rpm kick of K03/K04)

Default is there a different in Inconel or stainless steel or

cast iron manifolds?

I read somewhere that inconel does not retain the heat as compared to iron. Is this true?

thanks

Default Hardly perceptible at at all.

I wouldn't have thought of it myself, but you can almost think the car is a naturally aspirated one the boost comes on so smoothly. No lag at all if you're anywhere in the neighborhood of ~2500 or so (granted, the car I drove had Shrick cams in it), and above that it's simply a rocket ship.

if you have an S4, you must not be talking about the Stage III kit for the 1.8T though? You have a 2.7T motor... ?

BTW, letsaudi - inconel is a different metal than steel, just like iron is a different metal. it retains heat MORE effectively, rather than less (meaning more energy gets to the turbo's turbine), and is much more tolerant of heat-cycling (no cracks, deforming etc)

The kit is absolutely amazing. in my ~1hr drive, I couldn't find a single thing that wasn't totally OEM in nature, from sedate driving to WOT mashing. Typical APR A+ quality.
