What's your favorite online parts house?
I'm about 95% certain now that my alternator is toast. I need to order a new one. Does anybody have suggestions of good places I can get one online?
So far I've been able to find a 120 amp Bosch for $200

slightly higher prices but they are cool as **** and they don't **** up. (if they do they will MORE then make up for it! they are better then everyone in terms of vin split/ part # changes so you will usually get the right part. 1 order out of about 20 I received the wrong color a pillar and they didn't make me ship the old one back, they just sent out a replacement! they rule! K
(fyi the other big name in audi used parts is ttp://www.shokan.com/ and they can suck a f*ck!
dont order from them before searching AW. in my experence the sales people dont know ****, they have a tude if you ask about the condition of the part and they dont stand by anything they ship)

decent network of used parts but buyer beware! you can get great deals but make sure you know what questions to ask. great for non wear, common parts and or a way to look for local locations that have audi stuff.

good sources for new stuff. the guys on the phone arnt supper friendly in my experience but they have great prices and they don't **** up. **** ships same day.

the web site is retarded but shipping is cheap and it gets to me in one day(Chicago). they only stock common parts and product knowledge isn't great but they try pretty hard.

lots of locations & good for big parts. you can buy from any of their locations and return to the local location if the part does not work out. good warranty add on(lifetime, parts and labor replacement) options but document everything if you ever expect to claim. I got a trans from them and found out it was bunk after I put it in. they sent out some inspector guy to make sure I installed the trans properly then promptly picked up the old one and shipped me a new one. if you deal with used parts you gott be able to deal with this kind of **** fyi. they made it better so its all good.
race shopper is great, they have tons of street &race pads for dirt cheap! they freakin RULE!

http://www.raceshopper.com/</a
