You could also have your alternator rebuilt locally.
I have an awesome auto electric guy near me who rebuilt an alternator for me and installed it for about what it cost to buy one.

Yeah, likewise. I had a small order from PureMS early yesterday and I won't get it until
Friday. My super parts order was done that night after Mike closed up, so I won't get it until Monday I bet.

World Impex - they always beat others' prices, packaged well, and it arrives in 1-2 days for me.

I've had some problems with Wordimpex and OE part numbers, getting the wrong superceded part
not being able to find something at all, and prices are a real hit/miss.
