Ok. I'm in traffic on a hot day (80's). Clutch pedal starts sticking (it's done this maybe once or twice before) about halfway to the floor. Odd, I think.
Then, as I'm entering a turning lane, some jackhole decides to enter in the lane the same time as I do (no turn signal...thank you Florida drivers Ed). So, I hop up on the concrete median to avoid being scraped to the side (actually, my first thought was about me getting pissed because I just waxed my car ;-)
In the commotion and hopping up on the curb, I stall the car. Doh! My mind really wasn't into gear shifting/clutch activating, it was more into getting out of the way.
Thankfully I avoided a nasty situation unscathed. But afterwards the whole clutch thing gets about 1000x worse. The clutch pedal constantly sticks to the floor, and about 75% of the time, I can't shift gears. Lots of fun when you are stuckin in stop and go traffic. =P
I manage to get to a friends apartment and let it cool off for 3 hours. Hop back in...and no problem.
So...this leads me to belive that I have a slave cylinder problem. I've 75k miles on it, so it's not *that* suprizing. Am I correct in my assumption?
I plan on taking her by the dealer tomorrow...but I wanted to know if anyone else has gone through this, and how much it would cost to replace the now degraded parts?
Thanks to any helpful soul who can help me.

I actually felt a sort of muted *pop* ever time I'd press the clutch halfway....which probably isn't good

but would that effect being able to shift? The pedal was to the floor, and the stick REFUSED to shift into 1st gear. I really tried...to no avail.
