pads are newer, rotor looks old.
this just pisses me off, because it showed the exact same symptoms the rear did when the bearing was bad.

if its the brakes would the noise go away when in a turn?

I always buy new rotors with brake pads at the same time -> to AVOID ANY kind of vibration in future.

"if its the brakes would the noise go away when in a turn?" - sorry don't know

any other ideas?
could a control arm be so bad, that it lets the wheel vibrate and make noise?

Isn't there a bearing on the shaft that goes to the rear diff. I've read this could have similar sounds. Just throwing it out there.

Also a stretch, but a bad cv axle joint could cause some funny noises. You don't by chance have an clicking in a sharp turning situations do you?

I have a similar problem in my 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro. I hear a loud humming/rubbing starting at speeds as low as 30mph coming from the front right side. If I slightly unload the right side of the car (turn right), the noise will go away. It gets louder turning left.

I replaced the front right wheel bearing but the noise is still there and the wheel doesn't seem to have play in it.

New front brake pads and rotors.

I think I have a bad strut mount that I plan on replacing, but I don't think that it would cause this vibration/noise that I am hearing. That is more of a soft clunk. Any other ideas or resolution to the original thread post would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Also I don't think this is tire related. I have tried switching to different tires and still am getting the same noise.
