Default Wheel offset question?

Did all B5 A4's come with 35mm offset wheels. Someone was trying to tell me that his 16" Swing style rims were 45mm offset. Is it 35 or 45mm?

Default offset is dependent on wheel width... do a search for wheel offset in google or AW or go to tirerack

Default 16x7, 35mm offset on my 1998.5 sport package

I know that. The Swing wheel was an option with the sport package. It is 16x7 inch wheel. So I would assume the offset is 35mm, just like most A4 wheels. Does anybody know if Audi or VW ever made the swing wheel in 45mm offset?

Default that seems way off for a 7" factory wheel. I could be mistaken but the wheel should have the

size and ET stamped(cast really) on it.

my 17x7.5 Celebration pkg wheels were et43.

'01 sports (10-spoke) were ET43 as well.

Default I guess your right

I thought for sure the 16x7 wheels were et35. So do you people just go to 35et when they get wider rims?

Default obviously you didn't read my post in detail... depending on the width of the wheel you will want a

different offset potentially. 8-8.5" wheels seem to do well with a 35mm offset.
