My wheels right now are silver painted w/ clearcoat and a polished lip. I want to know if i stripped the clear coat and buffed the silver part down would i achieve a high polished finish to match the lip? I really like the all polished look and am willing to put in time to do it. Thanks for your help

yes, that is what you do. I suggest chemically removing the clearcoat, and then start sanding!

Those look like expensive wheels... Might want to see if a wheel shop can do it, just in case...

Default Those aren't silver painted, they are powercoated...

What you are going to have to do is, take all 4 wheels off, plastic media blast them, then get them polished up or they can chemically remove it. Once you get them polished though, you will have to maintain them once a week with a wheel care cleaner such as meguiars hot wheels to keep it shiney. If you don't take care of it, you will leave spots and stains on your wheel. Also, you will want to use an aluminum polish once in a while to keep the scratches down to a minimum.

Default eastwood co. has lots of tools for buffing/polishing,

that could be a good place to start if you are trying to do it yourself.
