wheel spacers/adapters (universal fit?)

Would it be worth the time/money to pick up spacers/adapters + rolling fenders on the savings for 4 rims? Or is this going to be more of a pain than spending the mad dough for 18's that are 5x112?

i saw the article in eurotuner and hartmann's website - they're 19x8.5 I believe on the S4, and specially made by Technomagnesio for Audi Sport - which I'm sure isn't cheap.
As for their toughness, I can't find many people who have them, so I don't have anyone to attest to them.... but I was planning on getting a set =)
