Default Wheel Technique - Scratched Wheel Rim

What a headache! My sister borrowed my A4 about a week ago and it had two flats when she was driving. Luckily, no rim damamge. Unfortunately, she took it to Discount Tire Center in Redwood City. They didn't ask how to get the lug nuts off without scratching the rims. Well, I complained and they told me they would take it to Wheel Technique in Campbell to get it polished. My questions is how good is this process and this place? Anybody had any experience with them? Also, does polishing, change the characteristic of the rim (weight distribution, etc.)
Thanks in advance for any information.
David
My friend had his Schnitzer's fixed there and they did a great job. The rim was
bent and scratched.
Marc
99 1.8tqms
