Default when braking, car jerks / feels choppy

in the last week, whenever I brake, whether i was going slow or fast, as the car slows down, it kinda jerks forward. Its hard to describe, but its feels like the caliper is grabbing on to the rotor at one part, then releasing, then grabbing on, etc, until the car stops???

I just want to know whether this is a brake pad, or rotor problem? The thing is, I just got new rotors last year, so im guess its the pads, but I really have no idea.

Thanks.

warped rotors, the cure is replacing them and bedding the pads/rotors properly

Default either have your rotors cut or replace them

cutting the rotors would save some $$ (of course you need to have a certain amount of thickness left in them so they could be cut)
