You'll want to sand the rotor a bit. Get rid of excess rust/dust.

What's that going to do? Make it look pretty?

OEM rotors can not be re-surface. If you have any grooves replace the rotors.

Default Blow me smart ***.

My cousin and I rubbed down the calipers a little bit when we did my front brakes. Now that I think of it we didn't really touch the rotors all that much. I need to stop "flash posting" while I'm at work. I barely read **** before I post =).

Default Just change the pads, maximum rotor wear is 2 mm ...

before they need to be replaced. There is no reason to polish or resurface rotors unless they're badly scored, and then they should be replaced regardless of overall wear.
