Default When I started my car yesterday it sounded like it was choking or something. Please help.......

Like I was saying, when i started my car it sounded like it was choking or didnt have enough energy. I heard it so i turned it off and started it again. It started and after that everything was fine, the car ran normal and now it turns on normal. I just got an evo intake in, can that be the problem or something else? How does misfiring sound like?

Default My car did the same thing after i pulled the instrument cluster...

...when you mess with electrical or other mechanical parts the car recalibrates itself, and thus has trouble the first time; then remembers everything once it's up and running.
my 2 cents. good luck

Default My car has been running a couple of days w/ intake before this happened. It takes that long to

recalibrate?

Default It could be the MAF...

I had that happened to me with the evo intake. The oil messed up my MAF. On cold starts, my car idled very rough, rpm goes up and down...then the car idles fine after about 30 sec. Find someone with a VAG-COM and see if it threw a code.

Default Probably not....although im not a technician...you might wanna ask some shops...

...about installing certain merchanical items, becuase they need to adjust the computer which can be done by plugging it (whatever it's called) into the underside of the dash!

Default It should...but sometimes it doesn't...

It takes a few drive cycles. If the MAF is not completely dead, it might not come on.
