doesn't attract police's attention?!
tell me what RPM and what method you use off the line?!
I normally just do max 1500rpm feather clutch launch. In each gear, I do not go over 4500rpm.
Still, some of the cars can keep up. Am I being too gentle?? I try not to abuse my clutch daily.
Any suggestions?

and that "corolla" reminded me of a funny story.
i took my friend's corolla beater for a day and this thing was hitting 130 and 140 on the speedo, i was thinking to myself...g.damn this thing handles better then my car!!! quieter too!!!...why's everyone goin so fast today?!...then when i got home i figured out it was km/h...not mph. (yes i felt stoopid) anyways... being off the line isn't the best part about having a nice car...it's about getting stares too =)

I get decent power until about 5K RPM with chip and exhaust. S4 power curve pulls at slightly higher RPM, so...
Also, even though the power curve isn't as high after 5K RPM, you have to remember that it's easier for the car to increase the RPM at the high end -- the amount of torque needed to change the RPM of a slower engine is greater than at higher RPM.
That's why you sometimes notice that for certain RPMs, shifting to what should be higher power at a lower RPM will still not let the car gain speed as well.
Anyway, the short version is that you should be able to pull up to about 5500 without hurting your engine or clutch, and leave the toyotas in large amounts of dust, but you need to find the best shift point for your car via trial and error.
