When your car is out of Warranty, do you still take it to Audi for service?

I have just hit 50k and plan to do my own Oil changes. Is there anything else that I would need to do regularly other than Air Filter/Oil Filter/Oil Change/Brake Pads? I spoke with a Audi Service rep and they told me that the 60k service is a big service ($400-$500). I dont' want to pay this much for service so I plan to find someone else to do the work for me if I can't do it myself. Any idea on what goes on at the 60k service other than timing belt and spark plugs?
Thanks

i just had my 60k, good thing mine was Audi Assured, so my warranty was good for 6 years/75k miles from in-service date. Under that warranty (the highest warranty that audi provides), I paid about $520-something to have the belt changed, and they also had to do a bunch of other stuff.. but the timing belt is the important thing they do. so expect to pay at least $500. if they find other stuff wrong with your car, they'll do it and charge you up the a$$ ....

My dealer in Melbourne is so good, that they are worth taking an Audi in for out-of-warranty work. I hope to do a lot of the work myself, but for stuff like timing belts, can't beat my dealer.
