whenever my cell phone rings, my speakers get all fuzzy...this happened with my old car too...

Digital phones only run at .3 watts. The issue is on GSM systems, as they often run at 900 mhz, right in the meat of the reception band. Since the signal is envrypted, it sounds like fuzz. In other words, I bet he has GSM, and is hearing feedback.

for nokias...the ones that end in "60", ie; "8260", "6160" are TDMA phones that follow the specs Ed mentioned above...the GSM phones are the ones that end in "90".
