in the last 20 years, audi won the mfr championship twice (82 and 84)
With the quattro. It has the second most wins in the history of the WRC.
However, I highly doubt the A4gen2 would be worth snot against most of the current winnning cars.
As I say, the A3 might do better.
Audi is now way out of the game and would require some massive fundage to get going again.

Agreed, but if Audi chose to concentrate on WRC, I'm sure they could keep up with Subaru, etc
They just choose to invest their time/money in prototype racing (probably the better choice).
