in a k04 install guide, it says that it is easier to remove the coolant supply line on the block side, but i can follow it from banjo straight to a 180 degree turn and then i can't see anything. also, what is the easiest way to drain coolant. it just keeps pumping out of the return line and making a mess, is there a c-clip on the bottom of the water pump where the drain is?

Yeah, the radiatior drain plug. Bottom front right side of it, red in color.
