Default I think I've actually seen them in pep boys...

I think it's a small 3 pc. set of larger allen sockets. Call 'em and ask.

Default For a minute I thought you were talking to yourself :D I haven't tried on 14mm (which is close to

9/16"), but when I needed to open the tranny plug (17mm), I bought a ~$2 coupler nut - the long nuts used to tie in rods together for construction, buildings, fences, etc. They have them in hardware stores. Maybe try a 9/16 version and see if it fits.

Default Find a local auto parts store that carries Lisle tools.

I believe they make a 14mm and 17mm hex socket. At least the local auto parts stores to me would have that kind of thing, but for reference I have Snap-On tools.

unfortunately, I live in an area of PA where PepBoy's/AutoZone, etc. isn't right down the street.

Default Autozone has a kit

it comes with a 12, 14 and 17mm IIRC. It definitly comes with the 14 thats the reason I bought the set..for rear wheel bearing.

Default which begs the question...what IS down the street?

Sounds like you've exhausted your options...drive further and find a pep boys. Call 'em first to confirm they have it.
