BTW isn't it sebacic acid? Also, I understand they are close, but if you run them through a mass spec. I guarantee completely different molecular structures. Yes I know they're both alkali metals but it doesn't mean that when they make a compound the compounds have the same chemical properties as well as structural integrities. But with out stepping on toes, I'll stick to my g12 and you can stick to your GM stoof
And another note, changing one element in your solution won't warrant a patent. There's got to be much more involved (excluding process) to allow the patenting of two such similar ideas! I've been going through the patent process for the last 4 years. I'm very well aware that in this country it requires much more.
