So far I've gathered that GIAC has a chip for the '01, but who else does? Is there a Wett or APR chip? I've checked their websites but either they haven't updated them or they haven't released them.

Also, who makes the best chips? From reading this forum it seems like GIAC, Wett, and APR are the most popular. Anyone wanna give me the pros and cons? I'm leaning toward the Wett chip, if they have one. Their reputation and their plug and play feature is pretty enticing.

Thoughts please.

Why did you choose APR? Are the hp and torque gains similar to the GIAC chip? Just curious. I'm sure you did your reseach so your opinion is important to me.

What are your thoughts on the voiding the warranty, too?

I chose APR because of their reputation and the fact that they answered about a zillion questions on the phone for me. The fact that there was a group buy that got me $100 didn't hurt either. The APR chip for the 2001 model gets you 207 bhp and 245 lb-ft. of torque. I think that'll be enough for me for now.

Another reason is that I may take this car up to APR Stage 3+ in the next year or two as I really like their upgrade path.
