Who knows how to start a car by poping the clutch?
My beater has been sitting a while and now the bat. is dead so I either need to call AAA or try this and I have never done it so I want to see what you need to do it. My driveway is a steep hill basicly, I would say about 100 Ft or so is that going to be enough room? It goes out to a street that has a little pitch to it so i could get a little more room there? Anyone have any clue about this?

Key in ignition and in "on" position (not cranking position)...
clutch in, car in first gear, point it down the hill, and when you've built up a good amount of momentum going downhill, engage the clutch. The force of the turning wheels will be transmitted to the engine via the engaged clutch, and viola, the engine should start.
If you get to the bottom of the hill, and you can't get it started, you'll need to call a tow truck to bring you back up to the top of the hill.

you can do it in 20ft...in reverse too if needed
sit in car, turn ignition on, put in first gear and clutch in, get car rolling and once you get a little momentum let the clutch out quickly and then immediately put it back in.
if your car is very light, or you have an engine with very heavy internals/flywheel, or you are trying this on low traction surfaces you may have trouble...but if not it should work assuming your alternator is good.

Turn the engine on, put the car in first gear, release the E brake,
depress the clutch, start the car rolling down the hill at about 8 ft release the clutch. Car should start.

easiest on a hill.
but bascially you push that car in neutral and when its rolling, you jump in and quickly shift into 2nd or 3rd gear(depending how fast you get it rolling, since you are on a hill, id do 3rd). make sure the key is in the on position. the car will buck, give it gas and you should be all set.
I've done it a few times. once with a hill. most of the time in a flat parking lot. you dont need that much space.
