I guess that there are a couple. I think that Koni and H&R are the most popular brands. Lots of people have the H&R's, but that doesn't mean that they are better. I got H&R's just because I wanted the Ultra Performance setup.
Other brands are Intrax, B&G, Vortrag. Tanabe makes a Sustec coilover for the A4 is what they told me, but I don't know if anybody has it.
It seems like Koni coilovers have become quite popular lately on this board. They are a good company, so that is understandable. They offer an adjustable shock, so you can firm up your ride if you want to, which is a nice feature.
I'd recommend H&R's, but I only know how the Ultra Performance kit is. I like it, but it is really stiff. If you live in the city you probably don't want this kit. Sometimes I feel like I am bunny-hopping on the freeway =) Actually, right now my car is in the shop because one of my rear struts broke, whatever you want to make of that. I'd only had them on around a month too. I am willing to accept that any company can make defective products and I'll give them another chance, but some are not willing to. If your just looking to slightly firm up your ride you could get the regular kit, but I would advise you to try and catch a ride in a car with the setup you are looking to purchase before you get anything. This stuff is too expensive.

I heard they are as good as it gets. Is that true? As far as I know, Koni only make shocks. I think you are talking about the Koni Sport (yellow) shocks. Those are the ones you can adjust the hight on, but I don't thiing they make the adjustable ones for our cars yet. So I think I am going to go with H&R. Do you think it is it's better then just getting some H&R springs and Koni shocks?
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
