Default Yea Sears has the gear allright...I picked mine up a few months ago...

Changing brake pads by oneself is pretty damn easy...

Default Their shipping sucks?

Is that model any good? I don't want a PITA one...

I had a friend in Germany check for a retraction tool. It's almost $100. It comes with adaptors for at least 10 different cars, though...

Sorry, was referring to the rears. I have Stoptechs up front - dunno about front stock.

Default It's fine!

I don't have any complaints with it...it doesn't bear the snap on name, but it's a simplistic tool. Worse case, it may rust over time, but if you clean it and coat it with some WD 40, you won't have a problem with it rusting out on you. If you have an autozone near you, see how much they charge for the tool, otherwise, just buy it from HF.

Default Will it fit Stoptechs Chris?

Cause I've attemted to use one such tool which won't fit out calipers.

As far as we're talking about the front pistons - I bought mine at Sears last night for $9.95. They also have a "heavy duty" edition for $19.95; not worth it, IMO.

You need a different, more expensive tool for the rears. I haven't done those (yet).
