Considering getting harnesses for the first time after my last instructor made the suggestion. I do not plan on replacing my seats anytime soon, nor do I plan to add a roll bar or harness bar. I've heard all the debates about using a harness w/o a roll bar, but really don't want to get into that.
Just looking for options.
TIA

a roll bar. These were the only belts I felt were safe without a bar/cage or harness bar (wouldnt have the regular belts w/out one of these. Next year, bar/belts/Hans.

What makes you think that the Schroth 4pt is safer w/o a bar?

only mine aren't as easily removable unfortunately.
I have them set up in teh 4000 at the moment, but would entertain selling them if you're interested TEB.
I really want a 5 or 6 point harness personally. If you're interested shoot me an email and I'll get you pix. They worked great at the track when I had them in the 4000.

It's to fight against submarining... but basically it allows your torso to twist if you were to get into an accident which caused you to go forward w/ a good amount of force.

nor the angle. so, I leave the 4pt a little lose. It's just there to keep me in place, but the 3pt is what will save me/you.
That lap belt tends to ride up on me, which could also cause submarining. hence, more reason to use the 3pt over it.
Honestly, I think if you're going to use a harness, you should have a bar with at least a rear cage section, and use HANS. and, use at least a 5pt with camlock.
I'd sell mine, if anyone wants it. I want to do the rear cage thing...hoping for 2009 season.
