surely if its in neutral then there won't be a problem the diffs will just spin freely
and how do you do a 2 wheel tow without gaining entry to the car?
The parking brake would be on. so the rear wheels wouldnt turn freely.

And the back ones are still spinnin, the front ones will try to spin!!! The only way to tow it is to put it on a flat bed.

When I jack up one of the wheels and the car is in neutral, I can spin that wheel with my hand, while all the others are not moving (obviously).

Most new tow rigs use wheel lifts for towing, in other words, there are arms that actually lift the car by the front tires. As you drive down the road, the rear wheels are turning, and the fronts are obviously not. This puts lots of strain on the Torsen center diff. You can flat tow (all wheels on the ground) for a short distance though without hurting the Torsen.

You can spin the wheels by hand, but the axle diffs allow that. The center torsen diff works in distributing torque from the engine to the front and reat axles, but it does not work the other way around. The problem with towing 2 wheels seems to be that the torsen diff is not designed for such high speed sustained axle speed differential (it's a buch of gears).
