Why doesn't anyone get the 25mm neuspeed sway bar - seems everyone goes for 19mm.

Default I think you mean the 22mm? Some have noticed subframe damage using it.

And causes a bit too much oversteer on some setups.

Only 3 people out of hundreds, before the braces were included in the kit.

I guess Neuspeed has a typo on their catalog - one section says 1", the other says 7/8".

Default Under "normal" usage over the life of the car there will be metal fatigue

which would be far quicker if you race/track the car's subframe will be quicker and more severe.

Default Some feel that the 22mm bar is too stiff, dialing out too much understeer...

resulting in a loss of traction in hard cornering.

I don't personally know, mine's a 19mm bar.

Default Well, because not everybody needs a bar that big. (More)

Most people are happy with upgrading their springs/shocks, and maybe adding the 19mm bar if they still want improved handling.

But anti-sway bars take some independence out of your suspension, and make you rear end more prone to "hop" over bumps, which is very bad if you're pushing a hard corner & hit a bump. That's no big deal on a smooth racetrack, but can be very noticeable driving on real city streets. Makes your car drive alot more like a Mustang or Camaro with solid rear axles. The thicker the bar, the less the two sides of your car can move in opposite directions, and the more "hop" you experience.

So if you don't need that additional support, for track use for instance, then you probably don't need to get the bigger bar.

There is trade-offs for every component. In this case most people find the 19, just right or close.

Default I don't know why you'd put a rear sway bar on an A4...it's just an A4 anyways kinda a waste

when you could have total superiority in an S4 ;-)
