Default why metra's 99-9101 head unit dash kit won't work for 00/01 a4's (pics inside)

Blah. You can obviously see the error in its ways. Also some more pics of how everything has been installed and mounted.

kenwood excelon x769 - looks bad because i have teh suck at the photography, looks great in person

Default did you have the Sirius connected yet?

the dash kit looks...uh...almost as bad as it did in person and after all that damn labor.

Keep me updated on the new custom dash kit.

Default either way, my local shop quoted me $150 for them to custom fab something

Default yep, after u snapped that SOB clip off it worked okay (no lights to tell)

and I activated it last night. kicks some major butt, but I still have some serious tuning to do with the JL amp that drives the sub.

i'll keep the pics coming as stuff starts to look decent.

good reception behind the tint? Looks 10x better there than if it were on the trunk.

Default yeah... i've had some spotty areas, but i don't know if it's the redneck areas i'm travelling thru

or if it's the tint. Sometimes it cuts out (almost sounds like a CD skipping?) but then a second later it's back. Still have to do some more trial and error I suppose.
