Wierd sound coming from airbox...

Im driving a 1999 A4 1.8T Quattro. Auto tranny. As I accelerate abruptly and let the boost build up and then let off the gas real quick, there is a sound coming from the air box. I don't know if it could be the diverter valve or something. But anyway, when the car started making that sound, my boost seems like it dropped. I was pushing about 7psi and it is now dropped to about 2psi. I don't know if the two problems are related or not. Can anyone help?? Please!!

Honking sound? Bad BPV .. time to replace it ..

So that doesnt have anything with my boost dropping? It was pushing around 7psi and now its only doing 2psi. It acts funny tho, its runs fine when the engine is cold, then once the engine warms up, the boost drops down.

Any ideas?
