Will 17x7.5 et 45 oem wheels fit on my friend's B5?

If so, what are his choices in tire sizes?
225/45/17 or 235/45/17? TIA.

Should...225/45-17 is the correct tire size.

That's what I thought, dealer told him that this fitment isn't recommended,

Anybody w/ this set-up?

The offset seems a little aggressive. But I don't see why

it wouldn't fit.

Aggressive? I thought the 16"oem sport wheels are et45 as well.

Dealer is wrong...

Some 2001 A4's came with 17x7.5 et43 wheels. S4 wheels are 17x7.5 et45, and audi also sold various accessory wheels in the same size. With a 225-45-17 tire, they will fit any B5 A4.

oops, my bad. You are right. I was thinking of my old car

which had 35 offset.
