Will A6 Symphony Head Unit work in an A4?

Hey all.

Will the Symphony Head Unit from a 2001 A6 work in a 2000 A4?

I need to replace the head unit in my A4 due to the dreaded "CD ERR 1" message, and I'm looking at some used Symphony head units.

i don't believe so....

i saw 2 different symphone head unit packages at my dealer some time ago... ones for the A4 and others for the A6...
