will a borla manual exhaust fit an auto?

I've heard of a guy who had a shop put a Borla from an Auto into a manual
It was my old Borla, on my previous Audi I used to have a Auto A4 1.8T and I sold the Borla to a mechanic who owns a shop that works on VW and Audi's (right before I sold the car). He ended up selling and installing the Borla on a manual A4 without any problems. I don't know what modifications he did but it worked. So if you know a mechanic who has experience with both that person might be able to tell you if it will work.

The mount on the DP is a little different. It's not hard to change one way or the other.
The DP may have to be tweaked just a hair depending on who's exhaust it is (what size DP etc.)
Even APR told me their exhaust could go on a TIP, just not right out of the box.
