Will driving with a handbrake ON for about 2 miles screw up Torque Converter on a tip tranny?

Will driving with a handbrake ON for about 2 miles screw up Torque Converter on a tip tranny?
in 1st gear it's like slipping clutch, then it grabs and pulls. 2nd, 3rd etc shifts are fine and the car pulls noraml, just 1st gear that has the "slipping clutch" problem.
Is this a sign of a bad torque converter or there is somethign else int eh tranny that can be a problem? Any other quick fixes?

what has to be changed to fix this crap?
my mom would never do a neutral drop but she did drive with a handbreak on for about 2 miles :-) god I hate automatic/tiptronic cars.
