i just put a ste of redboxes on fresh OEM rear rotors...

afaik they should hold up fine.. i'd worry more if i was running R4-S's or something of teh such

Short answer is yes,they will wear out the rotor sooner.

No problem, only time you got to worry are racing pads then you'll need them slotted or x-drilled

I put 35K miles on OEM rotors with Mintex pads...

they were in pretty rough shape when I upgraded to the A8 setup but not cracked.
