Default Will the real 2002 A4 please stand up...

The photos posted below, from http://www.motor-presse-online.de really look authentic. I took one of the pics from their site and enhanced it in photoshop for contrast and detail. Color and contrast has been altered for better viewing of the details, but shape and scale have not.

I'm thinking that these may be the real deal finally, the car shows all the traits supposedly in the design, namely A6, TT and current A4 influences and it has a nice headlight treatment like the A6 Allroad. Sure it looks very "sedan-y", but with the TT and Coupe versions of the A4 on the way it makes sense that Audi would want to "upscale" the A4 sedan. Keep in mind too that a euro base A4 looks a lot plainer and cheaper than what we all think an A4 should look like. I'm sure in more upscale trim, or even with a body kit on it this new A4 could look much more sporty and aggressive. That's just my opinion of course, and I haven't seen the ***-end yet.

Default It remains to have "A4-ness".....

in terms of styling elements, combine with the details from A6 and TT. It looks better than all the previous photoshop drawings shown in the past. The rear quarter angle makes sense to me especially Audi wants to have a coupe/convertible version based on the B6 platform.
On the other hand, I am very impatient to see how they execute the butt. Hope Audi won't mess with the successful cute butt of B5 A4.<p>Tom

Default I agree... somehow, it doesn't have its aggressive stance anymore.

hard to tell so early from these pictures though. we shall wait and see if they come up with another timeless design that lasts for 5+ years virtually untouched.

Default One thing that makes it difficult to judge the stance

is that the car is obviously in a turn, and body rolling away from the viewer's perspective. So this picture is showing the unloaded side on an unbanked turn, so it's not a very flattering angle on how the car will "sit" in real life.

But the back does look like a merger between a Passat and an A6, I wonder if that is the way it really looks or a problem with the perspective.

Default Good points, although I feel that front bumper should line up with the quarter panel...

and not look as "relaxed" as the upcomming A6. It surly doesnt look like a design flaw (bumper). The A6Tdi is has a VERY similar if not exact front end. Actually I have real magazine pics of the TDi and it is quite similar. Hmmm...id guess we'll see.
