Will software from a 98.5 work on a 99.5? If not what has to be done for it to work?

no 99.5 is dbw, the whole ecu won't work

99.5 is NOT dbw, its n-dbw.

Default It absolutley will work. I have a 99.5 ecu in my 99, and I also use a 97 ecu.
If the ECU ends in P it will work, other numbers work as well. Everything pre 00 is pretty much the same.
