Default Will these wheels fit?

I have a 97 B5 lowered 1.5 inches with eibach springs. I currently have 18 inch wheels, with 225-40 tires. These tires are really close to rubbing, and do occasionally when i take a turn into/up a driveway.

I'm looking at some 18 X 7 inch wheels, with 235-45 tires... will these even fit?

First, and more importantly, what shocks are you running?

Default IIRC... scratchrob and rallyvermont both have ran those tires on cars that are lowered

needed to roll fenders.

Default doesn't matter. He's already rubbing with his current setup... so he is gauranteed

to rub with a bigger one.

Needs to roll fenders.

I was more curious if he still had stock shocks of sorts, because he only mentioned springs.

ah I see. I thought you meant it was important to figure out whether the tires will fit or not

Nah, I kind of figured he would have roll his fenders regardless too.

Default What's the offset? I run 18x8 ET33 wheels with 235/40-18 Michelin PS2's

I had a fair amount of rubbing up front and had to roll my fenders. The 235-45's will be quite a bit bigger diameter than you should be running -- that said, the offset will determine if they fit.

Default if you're just rubbing on the plastic fender liner, you're fine. just be more careful with your

angles and entry speed. welcome to the mod'ed world.

it can't hurt to roll the front fenders, but that won't stop you from rubbing on the plastic liner -- which really won't do any damage to the tire, just the liner. eventually, the process just wears out the liner.

Default Wow, that tire is almost 1-1/2" taller than stock. That's quite a bit.

I think I'd skip.
