Default window washer indicator stays on after refilling ...

Is there a way to turn the indicator light off? The level went down, I did a refill, but the dashboard is still showing the level to be low. Is there a float that might be stuck?!? Unfortunately I don't have a manual to look it up and I'd hate to take it to the dealer for them to reset it.

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance!!

Default Not sure where the sensor is, but if you poke around you'll find it...

and then just unplug it, if that doesn't turn the light off, then bridge the contract on the sensor wires, and that should do it.

Not sure about why your sensor has failed, and I am not sure what type of sensor it is (float vs. wet contact). If its a float, maybe it is stuck and needs to be bumped free.

Default

sensor should be on the front of the washer reservoir, down by the bottom.

Default make sure you don't have a puddle under the car...

the pumps on the A4 washer tanks are notorious for failing. Mine failed with only 3,000 miles on the car.

Default Yea, that should be your first concern. Fill it up with water and see if it all leaks out.

I've had 3 A4s, and have had to replace the pump on all 3 of them.

Default you might just need more fluid....

i filled mine when my light was on with a full bottle of fluid and even after that the light was still on. when i put in a little more however the light went off.
