Default Window won't go all the way up???

I put my passenger's side, front door window down today but it won't go all the way back up. I hear some type of noice from within the door when it comes to a hault. Has a sticky goo on the window as well. It is about an 2 inches from being closed. Any thoughts? I'll get the door panel off tonight. My car is a 99.5. Thanks!!!

Default Just sounds like something is binding it

which will cause the pinch safety to stop the window from going up any further.

Default You won't believe what it was....

Thanks Audi, I got the door panel off and what do I see? The sound insullation pad that is glued to the inner door panel had come lose and had stuck to the window. It wouldn't allow the window to go beyond a certain point. I got it off, put it back into place, added some duct tape, and cleaned the glue off the window. Back in business. i wonder what the dealer would have got for that repair? Thanks for the reply and this great site!!!
