I read a past post on Audiworld where the author stated that non-Audi windshield replacements appear to have more fitting troubles. I believe he got this info from the person who replaced his windshield. It seems that the Audi glass is either more flexible or made to more exacting specs than other replacement brands. When fitting the new replacement glass in, there may be a larger variance in how well it fits in place using non-Audi glass.
Good Luck!

The resin injection fix works well for star shaped cracks that are smaller than the size of a dime. The crack cannot be in the drivers line of sight, however. With the fix the crack is almost invisisble. This also avoids any potential problems with changing the glass.
