Man, what a difference just going from goodyear stocker 15's with almost no tread to these fully studded snows with 14/32's of soft meat.

Wallow wallow wallow in the curves and quick maneuvers ... feels planted and *stuck* to the road, but WOW what a difference. I'm sure they will be a little better once broken in a bit and i need to check the pressure I'm not sure what they set it at.

With that said I am sure they will eat into the snow with a vengeance and hopefully save my butt and my paint/sheet metal from any mishaps this winter season. ;-)

You get enough ice to need studs? I just run snows but I don't get alot of ice up here in Tahoe.

Default Mid coast Maine, lots of snow that turns to rain/ice. Plus they salt the roads so it just makes ice.

I would rather have snow, but noooo they salt the h3ll out of the roads so it all makes a slush/ice mess!

I actually run 205/65-15, Viking Stop 5000. My Avant is like a freaking truck.

Default Drum roll please.... the super stylish and mad yo' blinggy-bling "WinterForce" ....

SERIOUS tread on these bad boys and Tirerack reviews are actually very very good. NOT a performance snow like a M2-M3 or other like tires, but a serious snow tire and with studs, great for the ice we get here.

Plus the price is very reasonable and they are on dedicated 15's for the winter.

I think they feel about the same in terms of squirm and tread wiggle/wallow as any Nokians and older style more aggressive Blizzaks I've had in the past. I have used them all and these seem just fine.

We have a set of 16's coming (to replace the 17's) from Tirerack for the wifey's Mini CS complete with new alloys so she'll have a studded ride as well!

;-)
