Default You don't need to clean off old Rain-X, just put more on.

Yes it will start to streak if you let it go. Just reapply ~ every month.

Default Re: "No Touch" instead of "RainX"

"No Touch" makes a window coating like RainX. It lasts MUCH longer and applies easier. I've jettisoned RainX in favor of "No Touch"

Agree. No Touch seems to be far superior to RainX.

Thanks for all the feedback. I think the dealer applied Rain-X before I took delivery a few weeks ago. That is why I thought the wipers were making the loud "squishing" sound. They're brand new and are in great shape - not dried out or cracked. In fact, they just seem like they're pressing TOO hard on the windshield if anything. I also need to adjust the driver-side spray nozzles upward a few degrees.
Nobody appears to have noticed the same WHIMPY high speed setting, though?
CB
99.5 1.8 TQMS (1200 mi.)

Default I have noticed it...

have to say that when I get caught in real downpour, (which was just yesterday)
the "high" speed really doesn't thrill me - barely better than normal. My old
Camry's wipers worked faster. It's not a big deal, but a little disappointing,
especially when so many other things are so well thought out.
saj
Re: If it's raining so hard that the high setting doesn't do the job then an even faster speed setting will probably do little to help you see much better.

The great thing about Rain-X is that you almost don't even need wipers (try it sometime), and I'll have to try "No Touch"
