Wipers and wet weather performance

Thanks for all the feedback. I think the dealer applied Rain-X before I took delivery a few weeks ago. That is why I thought the wipers were making the loud "squishing" sound. They're brand new and are in great shape - not dried out or cracked. In fact, they just seem like they're pressing TOO hard on the windshield if anything. I also need to adjust the driver-side spray nozzles upward a few degrees.<p>Nobody appears to have noticed the same WHIMPY high speed setting, though?<p>CB<br>99.5 1.8 TQMS (1200 mi.)

have to say that when I get caught in real downpour, (which was just yesterday)<br>the "high" speed really doesn't thrill me - barely better than normal. My old<br>Camry's wipers worked faster. It's not a big deal, but a little disappointing, <br>especially when so many other things are so well thought out. <p>saj<br>
