I would add it right before I filled up the tank so it mixes in better.

that's a given. Though driving will mix it well too.. But I'm more interested in the ratio..

Default I never mix more than 2 gal hi test w/1 gallon toluene, so 10 gal gas and 5 gallons toluene

But I usually use Xylene, which is much more carcinogenic, and also has a less stable flame front. Toluene is almost perfect on the flame front, so you might be able to use 1/2 and half, but since it CAN detoriate some types of seals/hose (I have never had a problem) I would stay at the 1/3 level. It really does clean the entire intake tract from the valves thru. With the 5 cylinder I ran it every 6th fillup or so and the engine comb. chambers and valves looked like they did when we built the engine. 1 gallon toluene and 2 gallons of 93 should yield 101 oct with a higher % of aromatic solvents for cleaning.

Default Xylene would do a better job than toluene, imo.

Both are not really the healthiest liquids to be putting through stock fuel lines though... So don't go too carried away.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but isn't xylene 114 rated like toluene?
