Default Also the DV is open at Idle right?

That means that when the intake is under Vacuum at idle, there is air comming in through the DV (backwards) as well as through the turbo. The DV would act like a giant leak.

put the stock maf back in till you get it tuned

Default i think thats the problem, thanks for describing it that way, i didn't think of that

going to plumb it in when i get home, didn't have time yesterday

makes sense though!
