I'm OK with the price based on the man-hours to accomplish the work. And the cost of paints.

Default They sure are if you want perfection! Paid Gav $8500 to paint the interior of the house 1.5 yrs...

ago. Lots of three tone work--11 colors, difficult schemes.

Default I paint as much of the exterior as I can reach with a 32-foot ladder. Everything is a 3-day...

project with the 7-step process:
1. Scrape
2. Sand
3. Remove loose or cracked caulk
4. Clean (vacuum and wash with bleach)
5. Prime
6. Caulk
7. Paint (the easiest of all)

If you get a painter to do all that, it's gonna cost you. One must understand this when procuring such work. It is very laborious when done right. Interior painting does not require as much prep work, but does require more detail and accuracy.

Exterior painting can be done slowly-one window or garage door per weekend. But interior painting is so disruptive, you gotta get it done quickly.

Default Actually, grinding the cement garage floor would have been killer. Not to mention...

among all the tasks, it would have required at least 1.5 months of weekends to paint the floors, walls, and ceilings. Worse yet, it wouldn't have turned out as good. This isn't just bolting things back together as they're supposed to be.

Garage floor was pressure washed a few days before application, but the epoxy was just junk!

Default I was refering to the sanding, I was going to do the epoxy on mine, but..

the floor is pitted and cracked and should really be replaced. Since it does have a separate foundation it can be done. But we are planning on moving soon so why bother. I just wish I would have sealed it or protected it 15 years ago when their was no pitting, crack was there at that time though.
