Is there anyway to check what kind of fluid it is? im guessing its the coolant. there was a spot from where i parked in the morning and where i parked later.

Coolant, and the dipstick tube probably broke.

Default Its coolant for sure

and there is nothing inside the dipstick to catch anything if it falls in, if you have nothing in there right now I'd suggest duct taping the hole shut until you can acquire a new dipstick.

Default The plastic bit will jsut fall in to your oil pan and most like be ground up into little bits...

or melted. It could block your oil pump tho.

Look at your coolant level. If it's low might give you the last clue.

Default Its a brownish color for the B5, later models have gone to a red fluid in some cases.

But the only red fluid in the B5 is coolant.
