would a bad bpv hold a constant boost? mine holds a constant 10psi

Default no, no codes...one thing is, earlier that day, it was fine and went to 14, when it whent to 14, the

boost gauge would sort of flutter at 14, like vibrate real fast.

Default But when you're at part throttle, is the boost always at 10, or does it vary between 0-10psi?

If it won't go higher than 10, you'll probably want to start looking for boost leaks, starting with the BPV.

well, the BPV and vac lines are the first places to look for a leak. swap the BPV. which 1 do u run?

yeah, ti varies btwn it all the way up to 10

I run the stock bpv for abou 1k miles chipped and 11.5 thousand unchipped

Default I bet it failed. don't even bother getting the TT. get a Bailey.

I'd find a local buddy who still has a working stock one laying around just to see if that's your problem.

id prolly get the TT one first only because i need to save up to get a bailey.

Default Probably not bad if it holds a constant boost. If it's stock...

I think the stock valves are spec'ed to hold up to 10 psi and then open. It probably just can't hold the extra boost.
