these are at least what i can think of off the top of my head.

1) lock/unlock button on driver's door does nothing
2) key fob will not lock/unlock doors/trunk
3) when you put the key in the door and hold in the lock/unlock position the windows/sunroof do not open/close
4) interior lights do not come on when the doors are opened
5) leds by door locks do not flash(probably alarm isn't set)

that's what i can think of. this all happened at once, so does it sound like i have a bum locking pump or module or whatever it's called?

excellent, i'm leaving work early tonight, perhaps i'll disassemble the trunk

I fixed it by taking the pump out and cleaning the connections then plugged it back in. Everything worked fine. You should also read the locking pump tech article.
