Would a clogged CAT cause a P1557 and a P0140 code?

Here's what Bentley has to say about P0140:
If no malfunction is detected in the wiring and if the voltage supply was OK (To the post-cat O2 sensor):
Replace the Motronic Engine Control Module (ECM) J220.
Seriously? Huh, no mention about replacing the cat.

The plug is on the N75 but i loose track of the wire as it goes back behind the engine. It happened after the clutch replacement. Could they have unplugged something back there?
Now the check engine light comes on almost right away and before it would go a few days. Tempted to go to the dealer. I don't even leave the house just so I don't have to drive the damn thing.
